Local Area Plans

Notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council intends to review the existing Callan, Castlecomer, Graiguenamanagh and Thomastown Development Plans and to prepare new Local Area Plans to cover these areas.

Submissions or observations regarding the review of the existing plans and the preparation of Local Area Plans may be made, in writing, to the Director of
Services, Planning Department, County Hall, Johns Street, Kilkenny from the date of this notice up until and including 5 pm on the 25th January,
2008 or you can make submissions by email to
localareaplans@kilkennycoco.ie

During this period public consultation meetings will take place in order to allow for members of the public to engage in the process of the review of the Plans as follows:

Callan – Wednesday 9th Jan. 2008 The Friary Complex at 7.30 pm
Castlecomer – Thursday 10th Jan. 2008 Castlecomer Community School at 7.30pm
Graiguenamanagh - Wednesday 16th January 2008 Duiske College at 7.30 pm
Thomastown - Thursday 17th Jan. 2008 Grennan College at 7.30 pm

All written and email submissions/observations received on or before the 25th January 2008 will be considered by the County Council prior to the making of draft Local Area Plans.

Submissions relating to these areas received previously as part of the preparation of the Draft County Development Plan 2008 – 2014 will be considered as part of the preparation of the new Local Area Plans.
